My name is Maia. I was born on August 8, 2006. I weigh slightly over two pounds, and am small enough to fit in my owner's purses. The first thing my owner did after picking me up at the Ft.Lauderdale airport in January 2007, was to take me to Worth Avenue in Palm Beach and put me in a yellow Ferragamo bag. (See October 22 '08 post, "Shopping on Worth Avenue.") Now, whenever we travel, it seems like I'm hiding in a tote. I've sat hidden beside Felicia at the restaurant David Burke & Donatella in NYC, and I've been on her lap at Ago and Skybar at The Shore Club in South Beach. The talented Takashi Matsuzaki (www.jadoretakashi.com), stylist and photog in NYC, designs TMC's headers, with new ones added several times a year (see April 1, 2009 post for complete list). Follow our fashionable adventures on The Maia Chronicles!
