Brooklyn and the Silver Fendi Booties

Brooklyn looked at Dolce's Fendi camo booties.

He wanted some, too.

But Taksashi told Brooklyn that Fendi had sold out his size already.

However, Takashi said that he had an alternative pair that were even better!

Silver Fendi booties! Brooklyn was happy and told Takashi to overnight them. He has to keep up with his big sister. If Dolce was going to be a fashion victim, so would he.

Christmas in New York

Takashi, NYC photographer, stylist and make-up artist, sent us these photos. It's Christmas in New York City. And nobody does it better...

Saks Fifth Avenue has snowflakes.

Bulgari's window has beautiful jewels...

Cartier adorns its building...

...with a red satin bow.

And the famous tree at Rockefeller Center...

...is cut, hauled...

..platforms erected...

...and lights strung.

A Day with the Dogs

Sacha makes herself at home on the sofa...

...and then decides she wants to play with Max, who ignores her.

But Maia wants to play.

And Dolce is always up for a good bite.

Then Dolce decides she needs to learn more about the economic tsunami that happened last fall.

It was a good read.

But now, she's begging for snacks from India, with Brooklyn Cruz hoping for leftovers.

Dolce & the Fendi Camo Booties

Dolce has been on the phone to Takashi from the 5th Ave Fendi Flagship Store again.

Takashi sent her a photo of the brand new Fendi Camo dog booties, and she said to him, "I want four of them! FedEx overnight! Charge it to Felicia!"

But then Brooklyn Cruz found out about the bootie order and he wanted some, too.

And then the other dogs found out and everyone got in a big fight.

From SoHo to the East Village

In SoHo, we saw a recalcitrant dog.

In a cab going up Avenue of the Americas, lots of neon.

Times Square at Twilight.

Theory store near Gansevoort.

A cat in the East Village...

And a dog.

La Esquina

The concierge at The Bowery recommended La Esquina (The Corner), a Mexican restaurant only a few blocks away. Once there, we met Vanessa, who was in town from Montréal at McGill University.

The outside of the restaurant looks like a diner, on the corner of Kenmare and Lafayette in SoHo.

But once inside the diner, patrons are shown to stairs leading to a basement restaurant.

But surprise: no guacamole.

Everyone ordered platanos machos fritos and pollo rostizado and rajas y crema taquitos instead.

And then walked back to the hotel.

Gemma and the Dogs of New York

We sat in Gemma for Sunday Brunch, then took a walk.

And on the walk we saw an Italian greyhound...

...who didn't much look like Sacha...

..as well as Pico, on Bowery Avenue...

...and Jasper and Red on the corner of Second Avenue and Second Street...

..as they went north on Second Avenue.

A Walk Along Second and Third

It was down Second Street to Second Avenue, and up Third Street to continue our walk by The Bowery Hotel.

Some of the homes looked like brownstone townhouses.

Along Second Street was a mural.

And a presidential campaign poster.

A man along Second Avenue (as opposed to Street) was selling odds and ends of Spanish-language books and magazines and other items.

And always, we saw dogs...

...dogs...

...and dogs.
