Takashi Eats Breakfast in the Pool

Breakfast was ready when Takashi was already swimming in the pool.

Takashi used to be a champion swimmer! But now he just wanted to have a bite to eat, to start his day.

But the dogs believe that anything that is on the ground, belongs to them.

So Takashi brought the food to his territory, and finished eating in the middle of the pool.

But then Maia fell in! She's never done that before in the four summers of pools. Was she trying to get Takashi's scrambled eggs?

Dolce and the Hot Pink Fendi Peek-a-boo Purse

Where's my Fendi Peek-a-boo? The one with the 90-person waiting list. Matte black leather, hot pink insides.

Yes. This is the one.

Too bad, everyone. Takashi put me #1 on the list.

Takashi Brings Ralph Lauren Polo to Twin Oaks!

When Takashi came to Twin Oaks to do makeup for Brooke's wedding, he didn't forget he was a stylist, also.

He came bearing gifts: Ralph Lauren Polo shirts for the dogs!

Sacha couldn't wait to try hers on.

Brooklyn was envious! He told Emma that he wanted to try his on as well!

So he did, and he was happy.

Then Maia put hers on, too.

But Princess Dolce liked hers the best, and being held by Victoria was even better.

The hot pink Polo went perfectly with Dolce's collection of Fendi Peek-a-boo bags! (More about that in tomorrow's post.)

Autumn's Here with Matt, Luke and Michael Apol

It's Fall at Twin Oaks.

And every fall, Matt Apol and his sons Luke (left), and Michael, pay a visit.

Apol's decorates Twin Oaks every fall and closes up the "Frog" pond & waterfall.

Luke and Michael grow the gourds at the family farm.

And they help decorate Twin Oaks.

The fall colors are spectacular right now.

This year...

...Matt and the boys...

brought mums as well.

And they also bring more gourds and straw bales for the sides of Twin Oaks.

It takes an afternoon...

...but by the time they're done...

...even the Greyhounds are decorated!

And showcased this year? A 150# (almost) Dill's Atlantic Giant squash that graces one of the entrances to the property.

One of the greyhounds loves the new decorations.

And so does the other! Thank you Matt, Michael and Luke!

Marc & Annie & Princess & Fendi

This is Annie, Marc-from-Fendi's-dog. (Notice Marc's hat!) Annie is a border collie mix and lives in Long Island with Dawn and Marc's friend Beth.

Annie has her eye on the sheepskin coat and vest in the October Fendi window, accessorized with the pumpkin Selleria Tote.

Here's a photo from the archives, of little Dolce before she became a full-blown fashionista, back in Chicago when India first bought her at Pocket Puppies, back when Dolce was smaller than Maia!

Dolce already bought the Fendi Selleria Made-to-order Peek-a-boo. She's worried that too many people will buy it, now that the purse is featured in the Fendi flagship store's window.

Here's Marc's dog, Princess. (See October 7 Maia Chronicles post.) This is Princess after her first grooming. I love her necklace.

Princess wants the other coat in the Fendi window. Princess loves furry things and thinks she'd look bomb in red!
But I am going to stick with the Ralph Lauren Polo shirts that Takashi brought Dolce and Brooklyn and me at Brooke's wedding! (See tomorrow's post.)
Till tomorrow,
Love, Maia

Dolce & Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010

I heard Dolce talking to Michael the other day.

Apparently, Dolce entered into a licensing agreement with LVMH.

Felicia took away Dolce's credit card after she ordered the Fendi Selleria Made-to-order Peek-a-boo purse from Takashi at the flagship Fifth Avenue Store.

And Dolce fell in love with the new Louis Vuitton collection coming up. But she could no longer afford it.

So she traded her famous image, and the fur from her famous Coxcomb tail...

...for use in the Spring/Summer 2010 Dolce collection.

And in exchange, she gets her pick of the collection!

Fendi Peek-a-Boo Bag, Twins Totes & Sliders with Maia & Dolce

Dolce just ordered this bag, the new Selleria "Made-to-order" Peek-a-boo (choosing your own color and materials & initials inside), by Fendi. Dolce ordered it in Pistachio, with initials PD--Princess Dolce.

Dolce thought that the Pistachio Peek-a-boo would go well with the Louboutins that she ordered on a recent trip to Chicago.

...and that the new Fendi Pistachio Selleria Peek-a-boo would also be happy with the matte-black-with-hot-pink interior Peek-a-boo that Felicia already acquired on her latest trip to New York to see Takashi at the New York Fendi Fifth Avenue Flagship Store.

The insides are yummy. Brooke has this Peek-a-boo in black patent leather. Fendi Peek-a-boo: Cooler, younger, and subtler, than the Birken bag.

Felicia and India also like the hot pink Fendi color block purse, called Twins Tote.

And Dolce likes the cobalt blue Fendi...the Fendi Slider Shoulder Bag, according to our man in NY, Takashi.

Maia likes it too!

But there's nothing like the Zucca Cartoon tote by Fendi on trips to South Beach.
Till tomorrow,
Love, Maia
