The Daily Coyote by Shreve Stockton

Felicia received a wonderful book for Christmas by talented author and photographer, Shreve Stockton (pictured below, with Charlie and Chloe). It's called The Daily Coyote (see photo, above). The book is "a story of love, survival, and trust in the wilds of Wyoming," and Felicia thinks it is an instant classic. Shreve not only wrote the story of her trip from San Francisco back to New York City and back to Ten Sleep, Wyoming (which she passed through riding her Vespa), but took all the photos (examples, below).

When she settled in Wyoming, she was given an orphaned coyote cub she named Charlie. The tale of Charlie's young life is documented in photos and prose, and the author did a superb job with both.

And for those of you who like blogs, she also has a blog named The Daily Coyote. Her blog's photos are stunningly beautiful, rustic, and speak to a purity seldom found. I, Maia, couldn't imagine living quite so simply, given my attraction to beach chairs and vacation cocktails, but it sure is fun to read about!
Till tomorrow,
Love, Maia
