Remembering Paco

In the midst of 4 degree temps outside, Felicia wants to look at summer shots! It makes her feel better about living in Siberia. Here is my buddy Peaches and the late, lamented Paco. They used to both go kayaking with Felicia in the Crystal River near Sleeping Bear Dunes. Felicia always brought them along because they hated staying at the cottage by themselves. It was challenging to keep the kayak afloat as Felicia balanced her coffee, oars, two dogs and the kayak, but she did it!

Paco (whom I never met!) also loved his ice cream! Here he is, proud possessor of a cone filled with a bit of his favorite summer treat. (Dolce and I love ice cream as well, but we prefer Haagen Daaz!)

Paco knew how to relax, too! Felicia, Max, Peaches and Sacha miss his funny ways. He is buried in our back yard. We say hello to him every morning. He didn't like anyone but us. If someone house-sat, he would go into the closet and bark at them if they tried to take him out of the closet (he never came out of the closet!). In fact, he wasn't that crazy about the rest of the dogs, either! If Felicia was gone, he actually remained in the closet until she came home! Sometimes someone accidentally closed the closet door completely and then we'd hear about it! LOL.
Till tomorrow!
Love, Maia
