Felicia didn't know what to do with Mr. Snapper since when she put him in the nature preserve pond behind Twin Oaks, he kept making his way back to the busy road. So she called her landscape specialist, Tom Rooks, of Rooks Landscaping.
Tom recommended a boat launch on the Grand River. So Felicia drove there and opened the trunk where the turtle was waiting, not terribly happy with the situation at hand. He had tried to bite her several times as she carried him to the trunk from the house! Poor Mr. Snapper...he was tired of Maia barking at him nonstop while he wandered around the house.
Felicia picked him up in the towel and set him down.
It took about two seconds for Mr. Snapper to take off.
He made his way to the end of the boat ramp.
Going....
Going...
Gone.
No more dogs barking at him. No more vacuums to knock over. No more lettuce to eat when all he wanted was meat.
And on the way home, Felicia saw a bluebird. It was a good luck sign. A happy ending for all!
Till tomorrow,
Love, Maia
