Takashi Matsuzaki Designs: MC Headers

This is no joke! April Fool's Day is a perfect time to showcase Takashi Matsuzaki header designs. Takashi is a New York City make-up artist, stylist, photographer and designer. His talents are synergized with his Maia Chronicles headers, whose fonts reflect the composition's spirit. Check out all the MC blog headers--so far!

Original Header: Maia on Chaise Lounge. TMC's very first header, from a photo taken in South Beach. Felicia chose the blogspot font "Times" for the title at the top (shown on the actual blog but not on the photo, above). The description, below the title, read: "Travel and adventures with Maia the Yorkie and her sibs: Dolce the Pomeranian, Peaches the Apricot Toy poodle, Max the ShihTzu, and Sacha, the Italian Greyhound."

Snow Globe Header: Takashi developed the idea a bit further, combining a Fendi Christmas snow globe he photographed, featuring Maia with new addition (and nemesis), Dolce. The blog's title was in the web address, bottom, with description removed.

Outdoor Party: After Christmas, Takashi created a photo of an empty blue house, with Maia and Dolce in the windows, for spring.

Outdoor Party: But the girls were missing their handbags. Takashi to the rescue...with Fendi, of course! Maia originally carried a Spy Bag. Takashi changed it to the Bag du Jour: the new Spring/Summer '09 Limited Edition "Peek-a-Boo Bag." Dolce carries the "B.Fendi Bag" in pink patent leather.

Outdoor Party: The party's in full swing, and so are the bags...

Outdoor Party: Something's missing. Yellow Bird. Now the header is complete.

Outdoor Party: With the acquisition of Brooklyn Cruz, the third window now has a companion. Brooklyn carries Louis Vuitton's "Stephen Sprouse Speedy 30" bag.

Spring Kaleidoscope: For March, Takashi designed the trio enveloped in a pink flower, complete with ladybugs and bumblebees.

LoVe Airline: April Travels: After Maia piloted a 747 (see February '09: "Maia Flies a 747"), Takashi decided that Flower Power Girl Maia needed a Co-pilot and a First Officer: Brooklyn Cruz and Dolce, respectively. Dolce seems to be saying something. I think I remember what she was saying! It was: "Let me sit in the pilot's seat!!"
Too bad, Dolce!

Not For Sale!: May sees a trip to the pet store! What is Dolce carrying?

Dolce & The Manolos: In June, Dolce loved Felicia's favorite Manolos so much she wanted to eat them--and did!

Six Dogs in a Boat: For July, Takashi couldn't decide which of these two headers he liked best.

But finally he chose this one...

November, 2009. Maia, Dolce and Brooklyn on Park Ave.

Here is the next version, complete with a Tiffany box for Brooklyn.

And finally, the completed version, with the trademark Yellow Bird, next to Maia.

For Christmas season, 2009, Takashi outdid himself with this design based on the window at Tiffany's (Brooke recognized it first!). Dolce is busy reading the Chanel catalog.

Takashi's roommate Natsuko objected to the omission of Sacha, so Takashi added the rest of the canine crew.

March Header: Maia sleeping.

April: Maia gazes over the Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii.

May 2010: Maia nervously eyes a turtle that Felicia rescued!

July 2010: "W"-style photo taken at The Fountainbleau, Miami Beach, with Maia giving a supermodel pose to photog Felicia....
