I went along with Dolce in her huge blue cast, along with India and Felicia, to Bloomfield Hills to check in for the operation. The drive took over two hours, and India and Felicia had to wait another two hours there. But the vets checked Dolce, looked at her X-rays, and scheduled the operation for Tuesday. Monday was filled already.
The operating vet called Felicia today and told her that Dolce had not been fed yet, in case an operation got canceled and they could fit her in today, but when it became apparent that the operation would be tomorrow, they finally fed her. "She ate like a pig," said the Doc, rather unpoetically. Let's hope she is better with plates that screw together Dolce's broken ulna than she is with words. "Her stomach was all distended when she was done."
Good for you, Dolce! Shows that you still have spunk and haven't let it get you down! Everyone pray for Dolce tomorrow afternoon, Election Day. As if there wasn't enough to worry about! We'll keep you posted on my little sister's progress. We've only had her for a few weeks, but already the house is not the same without her. I have to admit, I even kind of miss her....
